As most of you will now know, Impasse is out, and it is selling very well. Thank  you to those who have purchased it and contributed along the way. The next book has already been started, and it was given a provisional title of Counterplay. That has now been withdrawn and I am not assigning a name until I am happy. This next book contains some extremely important matters that need delicate handling, and the title, whilst it will still be chess based, will be all important.

While I am not aware of the direction this book might take I recall two terms from my competitive chess days as being of possible consideration at some stage...Forced Move and Takeback..  Regards Alan

I have a list of possibles, but finding tehone to suit is very tricky, as teh next book is going to be a beggar!

Book five has a name of course. It is presently at 37035 words on 137 pages. Daily updates on the Coling Gee facebook page and in the red gambit facebook groups.

now over 50000 words and starting to gain pace after my trip away.

Coming up to 80000 words now, but things keep cropping up and the whole process seems slow. I worry if I will meet the xmas deadline!

Looking at the OOBs for the Polar & Karelian Fronts, did you mean to quote the 20th Engineer Sapper Brigade in both of them?

Do you know why it cannot be preordered on amazon.co. uk? Other books can be pre-ordered like 6 months in advance.

Book#5 Sacrifice is now written and in the editing stage. It was 197k words before editing. Traditionally I take out and put in, so expect something around that size, which will make it second in size after the 140k words of OM.

I'm moving along well now. Expect to take hold of the finished cover graphics this friday. Again, Im behind on my own graphics but this weekend shoudl see them done. I will then go through the book front to back, and when Im happy, onto Amazon it will go. Patience folks, its nearly here.

Update... the graphics are going really well, and shoudl be completed on time. The cover and rear paperback graphics are now complete. I may have made an error on editing, which means I will reread the whole book, just to make sure. That will mean a small delay, but it will be out for Xmas. Hang on in there...
