As you know, the Nazis in the quest to committ more efficient mass murder devised a number of deadly nerve gas agents, such as Sarin, Tabun, and Soman. When the Allies overthrew the Nazi regime, they captured a lot of the stuff, I believe. Do you think it might be possible that those agents might see use on the battlefield in the storyline?

I have considered it most certainly. In my research, I also discovered thatthe US army had chemical agent shells prepared for the bazooka, to be issued for clearing Japanese strongpoints, caves, and the like. That was a surprise I can tell you. I have a feeling that a chemical battlefield might be a tricky one to write about, particularly as my chemical knowledge derives solely from a fire service point of view, and no-one Ihave talked to has direct knowledge of it. There is also a part of me that simply doesnt want to introduce them. However, there may come a time when the book demands it, in which case I will be scuppered obviously.SMall scale use might be acceptable, but larger use, particularly in an area of Europe that contains allied civilians, might prove difficult politically. It would most likely fall to the Soviets to first employ such weapons, should they find their backs against the wall. Thanks for your input.
