I have given them little thought at the  moment. Most of Austria is now occupied and or in dispute. A cold winter almost guarantees a reduction in Kommando activity and there is such a winter in prgress at the start of Sacrifice. Austrain Kommandos would be armed along the lines of German Kommandos, but there would be other weapons from bygone ages involved, especially in the ad-hoc Kommandos.

Do you think that Belgium, the Netherlands, and France (apart from Alsace) may have militia organizations similar to the Kommandos?

SImple answer is no, as there is no need. All are now behind Allied lines.

France mobilised the FFI into army divisions, which were pretty much useless. Belgium created many fusilier battalions, and wehave seen the most famous one in action  at Sittard-Geleen. The dutch have their own army to create, albeit much slower than the others.

Isn't Sittard-Geleen still unde Soviet occupation? Also, does the Belgian fusilers have only British equipment, or could they have pre-German invasion stuff?

Do you mean that the Fusiliers may have had American and/or German stuff?

Did they have SMLEs, or No 4 Lee Enfields?

I cant recall, but I suspect the modern stuff would go to British units, and the older version would be farmed out.

Kommando units [unless pre-organised werewolf units] were ad hoc formations and sprang up where men of a certain type concentrated. I see no reason that Alsace-Lorraine would not have their own kommando units.

"bob's your uncle". I like, but I'm unfamilar with that expression. Also, JOOC, what Soviet stuff did you mean? PPShs?

Bob's your uncle is poor man's version of quod erat demonstrandum :-)

the Germans showed an ease when it came to using others weaponry. They werent proud on that score. Most certainly, the PPsh was coveted for its durability and firepower. Better you put an old weapon in my hands than none at all. A broadsword can be devastating today in the right circumnstances :-)
