Not necessarily :-) but it is tricky trying to post sometimes.

One of the problems there would be the ability to ship a larger, heavier tank than the Sherman. If a single vehicle takes more capacity on a ship, you either ship fewer or build more ships. Some ships will not be able to handle the extra weight per sqr foot, so those would be out. Almost a chicken and egg problem! That is one of the advantages the Soviets had over the other Allies, all of the equipment could be entrained or driven as needed.

Indeed. i remember the issue of the T-14, although I have yet to be convinced that the T-14 would have been a better overall weapon in Europe, it was not sent because of shipping issues [in the first instance... I think lol]. In RG, the basic M4 is clearly now outclassed by anything it meets, and there is an imperative for quality armour in theatre, an imperatiove that was possibly less present in the real days of 44/45. The enemy in RG now has some pretty resilient tanks, with plenty of battlefield reach and capability. I think that imperative, and it is how I have seen things moving in RG, will decide the US on pushing forward with the big tanks and shipping them in increasing numbers. There is also the matter of ammunition development... which rears its ugly head in book#6 :-)

Just read the entire series again, great stuff, looking forward to book 6, I'm ex Royal Armoured Corps and it makes you think when you read the graphic description of what can happen inside of a metal chariot when it gets hit, glad I never had to experience it!

One thing that I have found satisfying is the reaction of people who have worn the uniform and often experienced the events I try to describe. When I have talked to veterans of a number of conflicts, the common theme has tended to be that there are so many horrible and different ways to die. The pencil incident was based on a story told me by a British WW2 officer, the tyre incident was based on a yarn that originated in Korea. Thank you for your kind words :-)

I suspect that the books will take priority, even though the rules are pretty much done for WW2. They need to be brought up to date for RG, but I need to finish the series first. Have some extra weapons to add :-)

Hmmm now you dont really expect me to answer that, do you? I will say we will revisit combat with some old favourites. Other than that, whatever I say might give stuff away. teh character list in the initiative forum will provide you with clues, should you wish to venture in there :-)
