if memory serves me right the T54 in the picture looks awfully like the T54-3 which has no overhang at the rear of the turret. The following is a good source for tank technical details, www.tanks-encyclopedia.com_coldwar_USSR_soviet_T-54
My knowledge doesn't extend too far past 1945. I have seen a version with curved undersides. I shall check it out 😃
