Hi there, I'm glad that the book seems to hit the mark for most people. i will do something regarding a situation map.I'd been toying with the idea previously and I think you have convinced me :-)
The kindle maps are a pain. If you look on our facebook group, the matter has come up before. I simply cannot find a reason not to put them in, despite the fact that they are virtually useless to the casual reader. The placement on the website is a bonus I suppose, but I ma unsure how many people would wish to download and print them up.
I am going to Europe on a two week research trip as of saturday morning, hitting Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, before returning to Germany for the last five days.
Given some reader issues with editing, I cannot put book#2 out [now called breakthrough] before it is properly edited as best i can. I know I made errors last time around, and I am anxious not to repeat them.
The bad news is that book#2 will be delayed for a month at minimum.
The good news is that I wrote book#2 and it ended up at 300000 words, hence it is now split in two parts.
Book#3 'Stalemate' should follow be edited before Xmas is upon us, ready for Santa's distrubution :-)
I like to be as interactive as I can with my readers, and that mainly takes place on the facebook group page.
If you have an idea, I want to hear it; if it's a criticism then I need to hear it so I can assess the issue.
If it's a plea for a loan, then you're on your own!
Regards and keep reading,
Colin Gee/Chris Coling
thanks for your response, I enjoyed part one a lot. Yes, I feel you need to do a full position map on a regular basis, showing level of penetration. It is really difficult to read the book whilst constantly referring to an atlas to try and find where the invasion has moved to. I understand your comments re the kindle, I have just ordered the new Kindle fire and hope that the maps will show better on that. When will part two be out?
Regards
